Add Part

This tool allows to add parts to an existing object, creating an compound object. The parts can be contiguous or not.

1. Select the object to which you want to add a part.

2. Click on the Add Part tool.

3. Draw the object (the new part).

4. To select the different parts of a compound object, use the arrows for Previous Part and Next Part. The selected part will be highlighted with a black border.

Compound Objects

Compound objects consist of different parts that share the same attributes. For instance: perimeter and surface correspond to the sum of all the polygons that constitute the compound object.

In contrast, data of the single objects correspond to each polygon.
