Create Image Layer
It allows creating layers that contain georeferenced images in .ecw (recommended), .jpg, .png or tiff format. These layers have no associated information structures.
1. Click on the New layer tool
2. In the layer creation wizard, select the “Image Layer” option.
3. A window will come up and you need to set the following:
Name: Enter a layer name.
Group: Define the group where you want to load the new layer. If you select an existing group, the layer will be added to this. If you select [New group], a new one will be created containing the new layer.
4. Click on “Browse”. A window will come up and you will be able to search in your local disks for the image you want to load. Once you find the file, select it and click on “Open”.
5. Click on “Finish” and you will notice that the image layer recently created will appear included in the defined group.
