Overview

Note Note:
  • Prior to starting this Course it's recommended to have a general overview of GeoAgro CPlanner, and get familiar with the Technical Service Provider - District Conservationist Workflow.
  • You will previously need to download and install GeoAgro CPlanner and download and install GeoAgro GIS.
  • Also it's recommended to go through the basics of accessing Customer Folders and delivering practices and documentation to the NRCS, by following this Course: GeoAgro Tools for Conservation Activity Planning.
  • The exercises are focused on helping TSPs to develop tasks included in a Learn how to use GeoAgro's tools to support development of Forest Management Plans (FMP) and report to NRCS. 1 Setup an FMP Sample Project
Download Customer Folder information from the NRCS, including Land Unit Boundaries, existing plans and practices, and gather Land resources information for you plan.

2 Review existing conditions / carry out field visits - Part I
Inventory existing conditions, plan and carry out field visits using GIS/GPS tools.

3 Review existing conditions / carry out field visits - Part II
Inventory existing conditions, plan and carry out field visits using GIS/GPS tools.

4 Define Conservation Practices.

Define Conservation Pratices, following NRCS standards and guidelines.


5 Document your Plan.

Document your plan, including maps and reports required for your FMP.


6 Deliver your plan
Upload plan documents and check in your plan for review by NRCS staff
