It allows to create objects layers in .shp format that contain associated information structures.



When you select this option an empty layer is created, and you will be able to draw points, lines or polygons.


1. Open the Layer Creation Wizard Image:GIS_gis_Edit_01_01.jpg


2. Select the Vector Layer option.

2. A window will come up and you need to fill the following information:

Name: Enter a name of the new layer.

Group: Select the group where you want to load the new layer. If you select an existing group, the layer will be added to this. If you select [New group], a new one will be created containing the new layer.

Structure: GeoAgro GIS is an intelligent tool developed based on the agronomic knowledge of Precision Agriculture Specialists. To create and load information easier, each type of layer is associated to a specific data structure predefined in the system.
In the drop-down menu, select the type of layer you want to create: Cities, Counties, NRCS Land Units, Tracts, etc.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see all the attributes associated to the selected structure.


3. Click on Finish and you will notice that the layer recently created will appear in the selected group in the Reference Panel.
