In this learning guide, you will learn to:

• Download, and install GeoAgro Cplanner.
• Start GeoAgro CPlanner and sign in to the USDA NRCS National Conservation Planning Database to view your customer folders
  
  

Requisites: In order to start using GeoAgro CPlanner to access your own folders in the NRCS National Conservation Planning database, you will need to:

• Be an authorized user - see what is required to use GeoAgro CPlanner
• Have Permission to access a customer folder, granted by your field office. Learn more about Getting permission to Access a Customer Folder
  

Note:

For following this tutorial you don't need to have these requisites. You may request a user/password from GeoAgro for training purposes by filling out this Form for Requesting training credentials

Exercises

Exercise 01 - Download and install GeoAgro Cplanner

1. First, download GeoAgro CPlanner 0.1.1.109
   
   
2. Go to the folder where you downloaded the installer and double click on "Setup.exe" to start the installer.
   
   
   
   
3. The “Cplanner Setup Wizard” will start automatically. Select “Next” in the window below.
   
   
   
   
4. Before the installation of the program, you need to accept the two product licence agreements by clicking on “I Agree”.
   
   
   
   
5. In the "Choose components" window, click on both checkboxes and click on "Next".
   
   
   
   
6. In "Choose Install Location", click on "Install" to install to the default folder and wait for the installation to complete.
   
   
   
   
7. Once it's completed, click on "Close" to close the Setup Wizard.

Warning:

If you are installing CPlanner on Windows 7, you'll probably get an error message indicating that "it may not have installed correctly". Windows 7 requires installing software with a special key; otherwise it will show this error message. This is a requirement that will be added in future releases; in the meantime, you may dismiss it; the application will work normally.

Exercise 02 - Log in to Cplanner using USDA e-authentication

1. Start CPlanner (Go to the start menu or double click on the CPlanner icon in your desktop).
   
   
   
   
2. Log in with your USDA level 2 e-authentication account user and password and click on “Login”.
   
   If you don't have these credentials, you may use GeoAgro's user/password for training purposes. In that case, please fill out this Form for Requesting training credentials from GeoAgro.
