To digitize Farms and Fields, the following steps are recommended:


Locate your Farm Area

To do this you can use these tools:


Digitize your farm boundaries

  1. Set the farm layer active:
    Click on the Farm layer choice button to make it active

  2. Draw your farm: Use the FSC add item.jpg Add new Object tool to start Digitizing the Farm boundariesWhen you're ready to finish it, Double-click on the last corner
  3. Save your work: Click on the GIS gis Edit 11 01.jpg Save tool to save your work


Warning Warning: Please note that in order to save the farm you need to create at least the farm boundaries. fields are also important but not required to save the farm.


Digitize your field boundaries

  1. Set the field layer active:
    Click on the Feld layer choice button to make it active
    Field active.jpg

  2. Use the FSC add item.jpg Add new Object tool to start Digitizing the Farm boundaries
    When you're ready to finish it, Double-click on the last corner
  3. Label your fields: To name your fields, you can use theFSC object name.jpg Label Object tool

  4. Save your work: Click on the GIS gis Edit 11 01.jpg Save tool to save your work

Digitizing tips

a. Snapping: When you digitize, the tool will automatically snap to the closest line or vertex. This helps avoiding mistakes
